After the giddy high of the Unclaimed Baggage Center, we hauled butt to Miss Mary Bobo’s in Lynchburg, TN. They have 2 scheduled “dinners” (= lunches)and reservations fill up every dang day, so we did not want to miss our 1pm appt. Again, we found ourselves ahead of schedule and managed to hit up a couple of sales along the way. Last year we visited the Jack Daniels Distillery (a very fun tour, would recommend) in Lynchburg but were unable to score a reservation. This year we were determined. We ate: fried chicken, fried okra, stuffed green peppers in tomato sauce, broccoli and cheese casserole, pole beans stewed with ham, apples spiked with Jack Daniels, corn muffins, chocolate pie topped with Jack-spiked whipped cream. So after we shoved ourselves back into the car, the itinerary was wide open for…THE SALE! We ended up on 127 late afternoon, but we junked on until sunset…
